    Cool PS3 1TB PS3 Internal HDD question?

    Hello, I want to ask will this HDD would work on PS3 FAT ? Its Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1TB with 9.5mm Height ! as much i know this is the common Spec required for PS3 !

    I am using PS3 CFW, i have about 100+ Games, so i want them all in this. so will this work ?

    I think pretty much ANY 2.5" SATA HDD will work in the PS3 - I've used many different types. Last one was a Western Digital Scorpio 120Gb which worked fine. Much quicker for game loading/booting.

    I believe the 2.5" disks come in 9.5mm and 12.5mm thicknesses.

    I don't think the 12.5mm drives fit into the PS3. Make sure before you buy!

    OGroteKoning is correct. Drives that are larger than 9.5MM will NOT fit in the PS3. These are generally any drive larger than 1 TB and even some 1 TB drives. Always check the height before buying.

    As for the WD Scorpio Blue, it will work fine assuming the correct height. I have a Scorpio Blue 500 GB in mine and it works like a charm.

    Anyways i will look forward to buy it! Even if its 12.5mm Thick !!
