Question [Answered] Online play from in imported game?

Just wondering if you import a game from a different region, and try to play online, does it look for a local server, or does it find a server from where the game comes from. I'm thinking of importing the US version of GTA4 into AU.

I import most of my games into Australia from US regions, and so far ive had no issues.

Warhawk lets you pick a server so that is a non issue, but for cod4 in peak times i can quite often find AUS games. I cant be sure that its not just coincidence that i find AUS games as im also regularly in US games. Pretty sure matchmaking is based on where it resolves your IP to and then matches you to the closest ping.

So... in my experience your safe.
