If your PS3 was manufactured on 1/2011 or after, you can not downgrade your console, metldr2 is the reason. You got a super slim sry buddy!

    simple answer, you can't.

it depends on your model for a start the only way to get cfw is to be at a base firmware of 3.55 so your best looking into getting it downgraded for you or a flasher yourself and they aren't cheap also if its a super slim they cant be done

What about this 4.31 Beta that everyone is talking about? Once the official one is released, would it be possible to do it? Anyone know how safe it is to use the beta?

Nevermind, did my research. Man this sucks.

You cannot, mate. The latest modifiable firmware is 3.55, at least soft-wise not hard-wise.
