A lot of older PS3 JailBreak guides can be found HERE, however, most people use PS3 CFW these days instead. Some FAQs and a PS3 CFW N00bs Guide may be of use.

    Question

can i upgrade my ps3 ofw 3.15 to 3.70 or 3.55? cause i've downloaded the ofw 3.70 thru your link, but i can't seem to access the link for the ofw3.55.

a reply is certainly needed asap.

You would go from 3.15 to 3.55, if you go to 3.7 then you are basically screwed as you can't use CFW on it at this time.

This 3.55 link works fine for me though, if it doesn't for you we would need to know details on what happens, an error, etc: http://www.ps4news.com/forums/downlo...o=file&id=4748

I know there are some USB sticks the PS3 won't read, but assuming you have a decent one perhaps try another port... or worst case scenario you could always burn the PUP to disc and update that way I suppose.

First and foremost make sure your USB stick is formatted to FAT32. Very common thing that a lot forget about.

Please check out this guide: http://www.ps4news.com/forums/ps3-cf...de-118615.html

And as mentioned above, be sure to format your usb drive FAT32.
