Lightbulb Change XMB WHAT'S NEW button?

I'm wanting to know if we can change buttons on the XMB to whatever we like?

I want WHATS NEW changed so it loads Open Manager. That way as soon as I turn on my PS3 I get to choose which game I wanna play. I don't know where or which file is WHATS NEW.

If its an EBOOT then we can just swap it over and it'll work right? I did that with HOME. I might turn HOME back in to Open Manager as HOME doesn't work offline anyway.

This idea is coz you can set WHATS NEW to the first thing the PS3 sees when it turns on. If it can autoload it would be even better.

If it worked with HOME, then there's no harm experimenting. I say go for it and post your results.

I've switched the HOME eboot.bin with one from OPEN MANAGER and OPEN MANAGER loads instead of Home.

I just can't find where is the options for WHATS NEW? It's not in the GAME dir so it must be somewhere else. I've also changed the icon and the background but as I'm not good at drawing I'm looking for a good background for Open Manager or Backup Manager. Both would be better than the blue home background.

It might be (linked) in some of the XML / Config files I'd say ...

It does look to be related to a few XML files on dev_hdd0:

[Register or Login to view code]

I have three folders here, each have one xml file inside:

[Register or Login to view code]

Here is an a chunk from the top of that first xml file:

[Register or Login to view code]

So, if you change that url (bolded) to the file location of "icon0.PNG" it should show you the pick to the game. It won't boot though if clicked, that will take some deeper coding.
