Funny surprise in the theme
Model Tested: NTSC/U (JAP) Launch 60GB
Memory Stick: Cruzer U3 4gb
As previously stated, if you have both the theme "loader" install folder AND the .fu file on the memory stick then the effects are immediate.
If you choose to install the loader and do not have the .fu file present then the theme appears as the "original" PS3 theme until a memory stick with the .fu file is inserted.
The "loader" is for future-use as well to load any .fu files which I'll release, quoted from skfu's blog. Does anyone know as to what these .fu files can accomplish?

I believe .fu for this theme-exploit is like an .exe for win and .dmg for osx, sooooo the some time next .fu will be the usb loader(maybe) of our homebrew apps and games.

SKFU's Exploit Loader - What it is and what not
Some of you may expect a little bit too much out of this. The code used runs in a very restricted area. Currently we test how far we can go into direction "overflow" and system param's we can access.
So far it's possible to command the script a bit via system parameters like the clock. The clock can be used as provider of input, for example to command simple textures in different directions or similar.
This is no exploit yet, if you may have missed that statement in the prior post. It's just a way to load scripts via USB now.
Further tests will show us what is possible at all. The information needed was given to several more devs so they can take part in the action.
Agreed, pretty much any PS3 hole or hack that surfaces Sony will plug as they have been doing all along with the PSP... those who are serious about PS3 homebrew/backups really have only two choices at the moment: 1) Don't update, or 2) Buy a second PS3.
