    This is useless, any jailbreaked unit can install pkgs from XMB, if this could lead to installing unsigned code on fw 3.42+, then it would be useful.

    i'm not sure why this is being called an exploit...

    as someone pointed out already... He's doing nothing but replacing a file on a already jailbroke console.

    This might be nice after all. Because this disc enables installs on the HDD on a legal way. Now we just need to rip, change the file, burn and test it again,

    Who has a bluray burner and some spare time n_n

    it won't install, because the pkg is still not singned by sony. it has nothing to do with the disc, its just the media that holds the packages.

    i just installed medal of honor frontline this way. couldn't get it to indstall from det backup of medal of honor limited edition that i had.. so i tried this and it worked so it has helped me thanks...

    you know now that some people mention pointless... wouldn't it be interesting if someone could fit a 360 mobo in a ps3 case and vice versa??

    I understand how people are saying we can already install packages and the like on a jb console etc, were basically just changing how the package is stored.

    My question is can you install these renamed packages via this exploit with the ps3 booted up in normal mode?
