PSGroove USB Boards and DIY Teensy Schematics Detailed
With the release of PSGroove opensource PS JailBreak exploit for PS3, many are having trouble sourcing the required Teensy++, AT90USBKEY2 or AT90USB162 boards.
That said, today PS3JailBreak.com (linked above) has shared schematics for the Teensy so that users can build their own if they wish.

Finally, those who aren't into DIY solutions may also wish to look into either the AT90 USB thanks to Fuddster or the BlackcatUSB Flash Memory Programmer (from version 1.2 on) which uses the same microcontroller (AT90USB162) as confirmed by chesteruhi. More on that soon, including a video!

Newbies Guide To PSGroove - Getting Started With The AT90USBKEY
What you'll need to get started:
1. AT90USB1287 or associated product.
2. External storage device (USB Drive/SD Card/Memory Stick)
3. Atmel Flip 3.4.1 Software (Link).
4. Prepared AT90USBKEY-psgroove.hex.
5. Any homebrew .pkg packages you wish to install.
Start by installing the Atmel Flip software including the Java Runtime Environment if you do not already have this installed.
Find the directory where you have installed Atmel Flip for example (C:\Program Files\Atmel\Flip 3.4.1) open the USB folder and copy the file libusb0.dll and/or libusb0_x64.dll to the folder named bin. (You may need to disable 'Hide protected operating system files' for this step'
At this point you can place the homebrew.pkg file on your external storage device.
The software preparation is now done and you have also saved yourself time solving a simple problem, Good Job!
The next step is to plug the included USB cable into your AT90USBKEY and plug it into the PC. After some loading of drivers you will be greeted with a folder containing various demo packages and so on, go ahead and copy these files to your computer if you wish to make a backup.
Now you'll need to put the AT90USBKEY into a mode enabling you to program it.
1. Hold the RST and HWB buttons (Circled).
2. Release the RST button.
3. Release the HWB button
At this point windows should start prompting you for drivers so direct it to the USB directory in your Atmel Flip folder for example (C:\Program Files\Atmel\Flip 3.4.1\usb) and you're done.
You're now going to flash the .hex to your AT90USBKEY.
1. Launch Atmel Flip and select 'Device', Select the microcontroller that matches your board (In this case AT90USB1287) and select OK.
2. Select 'File' - 'Load Hex File' - Select your .hex file in this case AT90USBKEY-psgroove.hex.
3. Select 'Settings' - 'Communication' - 'Open'
4. Click the 'Erase Target Device Memory button.
5. Click the 'Program Target Device Memory button.
Fun Time Baby!
Insert your storage device containing the homebrew.pkg into your Playstation 3.
Remove any discs that are present within the drive.
Turn off Playstation 3 power switch or in the case of a Playstation 3 Slim unplug it.
Insert your microcontroller board into the usb socket.
Restore power to your console.
Hit the power button and then the eject button.
Note: The above power cycling process needs to be repeated each time you turn on the console. A small price to pay for the fun ahead of us!
I hope this at the very least helps a few people out there and i hope everyone has their chunk of fun with whatever homebrew they choose to run.

Someone capable of cutting out the not needed stuff from these shematics?
The USB Port, Controller, LEDs, Crystal, Resistors should be enough ?
What about the button thise things have? Those are for programming mode right?

USB Dongle for 64pin Atmels, with integrated USB connector, now also for 32pin
I made a quick & dirty usb dongle board for running psgroove, so if anyone find it useful then here you go.. Made with freeware Eagle 5.9
The board should be pretty easy to manufacture since only one layer is required(with one jumper, the second layer in the brd file is only GND and can be left out).
The BOM count is minimal, with no "hard to find" parts. I think all 64pin AVR's with USB should work, but I have only tried the AT90USB1287
Tested with psgroove and the default "USER" layout
IC1 AT90USB1287 or similar
C1,C2 15p(10p-30p should be ok)
C3 1u(from atmel datasheet)
C4 1u(not a critical value, can live without it)
C5 0.1u(not a critical value)
LED1,LED2 SMD 1206
Q1 16Mhz OR 8Mhz

EDIT: The chips comes with an preprogrammed USB bootloader, use FLIP from atmel.com for programming
To enter bootloader mode, short the 2pin header, insert the dongle to the PC, force a reset(by shorting the reset TP to ground with a small screwdriver).
After programming remove the short on the header
To test the dongle after programming, insert into a pc and led2 should turn on. If it doesn't then hard force a reset(..by shorting the reset TP to ground..) I had to do this on 1 out of 3 tested pc's. You should now get a USB connection with ID aaaa:5555
There's no need to cut anything from the schematics - if you want to build one of them, just make the teensy one at the top left - it's the easiest one (and probably the cheapest one too).
Damn it's been about 2 years since I did work on a breadboard in uni, can't remember a lot.
what kind of capacitor and voltage should i buy ? do i really need a BAT54C or can i use something else ?
is there a parts list for these? then we know what to buy and order to make it. i'm good at soldering but not good at understanding what to order by just looking at the picture.
Electronics experts, if we print and build the teensy pcb do i need to flash the bootloader or its preinstalled ? I know haveI to load the hex later on, but will the pcb fuction as it should ?

Can someone help me find the right kind of crystal for this? I've sourced everything else, just not sure about the oscillator.

I ordered enough to make 10, and it cost me 80$ after tax and shipping, making it 8$ a piece. Not too shabby...
You will probably have to use the Amtel FLIP programming application if you build a Teensy clone, not the usual Teensy-specific flashing application, since the bootloader on shipping Teensy boards is HalfChip, which I believe is different than the one shipping on Amtel chips by default. Could be wrong. Shouldn't be that big an issue either way. Once someone builds one of these things, please let us know.
