Apparently those who have downgraded using PS3Key or Yes thingy-me-bob or whatever its called or who have used the ps3yes downgrade hex dont seem to have the BD Playback problem...
This downgrade and data loss sound to me like the classic "Restore PS3 System" your hd gets formatted and it put your system software to original.
How to access the PlayStation 3 Recovery Menu
1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
my 60gb ps3 did not get reformatted, in fact the light only blinked 2 or 2 times real quick at first. upon starting 3.41 after downgrading netflix was still under videos and my save data was still there. I could not use the saves due to newer version/wrong user.
Ugh, no EVO?! I wonder why...
Getting there, I just need an iPod 5G Video port.
For people having some problem to read bd movies after downgrade, someone on Gxmod have found how to enabled it. you need to add this files:
- divx on \drm
- 2files on vsh\bdplayer\
- all \widget

Is the blueray issue only present in 3.41 firmware ?
What if I downgrade to 3.15 from 3.21 ?? Would there be any issues with the drive ?
