    PS3 xRegistry.sys Editor FTP Mod & PS3UPDAT.PUP Version Arrive

A few weeks back a homebrew PS3 Registry xRegistry.sys File Editor was released, and now French developer zouzzz has shared an FTP Mod and source code for it alongside a simple PS3UPDAT.PUP Version checker application.

    Download: PS3 xRegistry.sys Editor FTP Mod / PS3 xRegistry.sys Editor FTP Mod SRC / PS3UPDAT.PUP Version

To quote, roughly translated: "Hello, I allowed myself to change a few of the xRegistry.sys Editor v0.75 stoker25 to add FTP function.

You will need to connect via FTP utility BlackBox. The mod dump the file (via FTP so) in the Utility folder and then opened."

And on the Version utility he stated only: "Lets know what version of firmware is hiding in the. PUP"

Yes of course, if you have Firm Ware 3.50.

What is the different between the "src" and none "src" version of the xRegistry program ?

The Version app will only let you know what PS3 Firmware version is used in the PUP file, and the PS3 Registry FTP Mod allows you to send via FTP to the Utility folder.

However, to date there is no way to access PSN (despite PSN login details being stored there unencrypted) without updating your Firmware and losing the ability to JailBreak as Sony blocked the old bypass method in 3.42.

Also the SRC is just the source code he released, the other is the binary.

"src" means source code, it's used to compile this application.

I wonder how long it will take before someone figures out a way to allow jailbroken PS3 to play online games?

why would you want to know the version of firmware in the pup file? i can't see a use for it.
