This is AMAZING!!! I hope that this will enable the creation of other OS on the slim, to encourage development and experimentation! (and more than 10gb hdd space)

here is some thing interesting perhaps something that should be looked into?
"A security patch was added to address security vulnerabilities that may occur when playing MP4 format video files."
my only question is why tell us about a security vulnerability when thay know we're hot on there trail and thousands of people held off the update because of all the latest finds and dumps on there system...
perhaps something like the Tiff exploit?
if so if i recall corectly the tiff exploit allowed us to load games that were forcing us to update firmware something like this would be of major significance to those of us holding off on FW updates awaiting to see what happens in the scene.

Nice, though I think for now it's just about opening those 50^50 doors
Can anyone tell if this is of any signifigance for SLIM owners?

Very good news indeed
I quickly looked through the dump. Here is what I can tell - less than a first third of it actually has something to do with game os and after that is linux stuff.
But I found some very interesting strings:
they both are 16 bytes long (128bit) and look like some keys to me - lower and upper case letters + numbers mixed together
may be they are two halves of a key for a HMAC check?
anyways - someone skilled and curious should check them very carefully
