Meh, I added the Tweets below but please follow the Site Rules guys... I don't want to sift through posts of people's Tweets in our Forum threads.
IRC and Twitter updates should also not be posted in the Forum as we don't have time to sift through people's logs and tweets so get those by logging into IRC yourself or following the individual instead... any deemed important will be added to the Site News by the Staff as always so there is no need to post them yourself.
KaKaRoToKS: Thanks Mathieulh for the files you just sent me.. Will be a great help going forward Oh and please, everyone STOP flooding us with...
Mathieulh: I just contributed to KaKaRoToKS what I felt like contributing, I would appreciate if people stop bugging me about this now.

I'm surprised Mathieulh helped KaKaRoToKs out. But I'm still not interested in the "exploit" if it doesn't run backups, but we'll just have to wait and see.

It is a great news for the future of the hacking ps3 scene.

people need to stop whining on these DEVs. the regular user to DEV ratio must be like 100:1 if not more. Most complaining prob still live at home with your mom and don't do anything about your life but want to play backups because you can't afford the real copy.
These DEVs put in hours of their day trying to figure out this stuff; writing code, finding exploits while most of you can't even write a simple HTML to post a picture.
I understand Math's attitude isn't cool for not sharing since its a scene effort; but i remember when the scene use to work as a team not i found this, i found that, i did this, i did that. Form a team and get stuff rolling and people will appreciate the release.
xbox scene > ps3 scene; but i love my PS3 way more and i know it can be better than the xbox scene if people work together and stop being shady. F $ony.

are you not kind of contradicting yourself

Omfg, now this is the first time i've had to say thank you to math.. so here goes.
Thank you math for your oh so kind effort to helping the devs (KaKaRoToRoKS & other devs) into putting together this new exploit... may your contribution no be in vain for this new righteous cause
-As a likeness of the phrase to Apollo 11-
"One small step for devs, one giant leap for (the scene) everyone."

Don't say thank you to math. Kakaroto is pissed off at math because he's acting like a little unappreciated girl. They've been going back n forth on twitter. I never understood why everyone hates math, but now I do.

Yea, I saw that the other day... I don't mind discussing it in here as long as the Tweets aren't posted (many contain profanity, use Twitter for them). That said, my take on the situation is as follows:
When KaKaRoToKS first Tweeted about the new exploit he felt comfortable with his standing in the PS3 Dev circle, and then realizing he lacked information essential for an actual release turned to Mathieulh (who is in several PS3 Dev circles) for some assistance (meaning some more parroted details required for the hack).
In return for KaKaRoToKS getting PS3 sceners to 'like/respect Mathieulh' again, Mathieulh offered him a few bits (most of which is buried in the PS3 Wiki and is useless by itself: ps3devwiki.com/index.php?title=Talk:KaKaRoTo_Kind_of_%C2%B4Jailbr eak%C2%B4), but due to pressure on him from the real PS3 Devs (for example: adrahil, bushing, marcan, oopo, richdevx, sjeep, subdub, xorloser, etc some of whom moonlight working for both Sony and profiting off selling 'code' for dongles) who he actually gets the info from on being booted from their more elite circle he ended up ultimately telling KaKaRoToKS he offered what he could and bailed.
<eussNL> well, math shared a GUI with C++ code to cry about, an XML with keys (which are all on wiki) and told kakaroto to go look for omac himself (while there is no omac, nor pointing to where it might be - as if he did not even know for himself :P)
Ever even looked at the code I gave him ? I suggest you do, then compare it to tools and documentations about .self available elsewhere. You will notice they are basically worlds apart to each others. -Mathieulh
P.S. I wasn't aware this was the place for drama.
Of course it is always easy to oneself such as Kakaroto to claim to have had all that stuff already done (in private that is) AFTER receiving all the FULLY COMMENTED sources from me eh ? Oh ! And if I got the entire self format, crypto, compression, flags, calculated offsets etc etc reversed and done, and that I know that what's required is a hash, chances are I most likely got that too... (just saying).
Just a protip, don't focus on appldr you'll have to look at lv1 to figure what is going on, otherwise you won't be finding it, at least no easily. Best way, live debug lv1 while hvsc99 is used.
So where does this leave us from here? Basically in the same place as before... waiting for one of the elite PS3 Devs to pass the necessary details and/or files to someone (Mathieulh, KaKaRoToKS, fail0verflow, Gitbrew, etc) as the 'mouthpiece' to release them to the public under.
My guess is just like what happened with the PSJailBreak and PSDowngrade, this will happen when the elite PS3 Devs have squeezed as much cash as they can out of the dongles and reselling the code to cloners (which is what's currently going on based on recent e-mails we've received).
Here is to hoping someone leaks/passes along the missing exploit details soon, whether it be to KaKaRoToKS or whoever is going to be the designated person/group to share them with the scene!

Isn't there enough drama already? I really don't care about this "scene" anymore. I just want fixed Eboot.bin files for new games and I'm happy.
