    Yes, i did that.

    Just disconnect ADSL line from the modem/router, lan will remain active.

    but compatibility not changed?

    for example if assassin creed not works, now if you try to transfer it via ftp, not works already, or not?

    I am also definitely interested, I am positive that most of the newbie programmers would want to see this and maybe help fix it up :P

    Maybe source forge can help out in this case? It is very easy to upload a project such as this to source forge, free too!

    direct connection pc to PS3(LAN) faster, over wifi is slower.

    Now that updating to new firmware is out of thinking, I hope there's a way to backup all my PSN games to my PC via FTP

    because if once hdd fails or the games get deleted, sony won't let anyone redownload the games from psn wihtout updating.

    theoretically i think psn games that are installed should be dumpable and reusable again.
