Thread: PS3 Exploit Backup Tool
Guys honestly i don't think this is fake... i just think that its a bit 'less' than we thought it was.
It only takes renaming the file and copying it in an order (i really don't understand why this would work btw lol) ...sure its really simple...but who knows where it may lead.
If sony slips up with its firmware, it doesn't have to be something all technical, it could be the simplest of errors, so we really need to find these exploits at all levels.
I don't really know much about these things, but if the backups are encrypted with RC4 and you decrypt them, then you change a bit of code would not that break the sign by sony?
At least that is what i have understood that they are trying to do...
well with the orders of files is very confused
so i thing we will try to test again
hope something will bring the corrupt icon on xmb
if yes please post a photo or a video for a confirm
hopefull one day all can test and bring it on working
if not --------->
BTW. How come when he takes a 256kb .pkg file it magicly tansforms to the mgs4 DB? Which is 77mb?
Unless the Mgs4 DB is in another back up file.
Beacuse that is the same thing that happend to me, but with the GTHD v2.0 pkg.
I saw all the other files I had backed up, but not the one I swapped(GTHD).
How is an unstartable pkg file going to start some kind of an exploit?
anyone else get this to work?

secondo me si infatti pure se da l'errore crea la cartella danneggiata su XMB|GAME e lo confermo perche lo provato io
so i suggest all peoples who can see the corrupt icon folders to repeat step by step because 98 of 100 guys are confused
please post before to prove it thanks
so copying the files in this order works?
Well, Works as in gets the currupt icon?
