System Software (GUI)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
[New Features]
<Menu of the System Software (GUI)>
- Settings column -> Debug Settings -> Game Output Sound (Debugger)
With an earlier SDK version than SDK280, a game application was
started up from the debugger in the audio format that has the
maximum number of channels of LPCM/48kHz that is set via the
"Sound Settings" of the system software.
By setting "Game Output Sound (Debugger)", game developers can now
set the audio output format of when starting up a game application
from the debugger. Thus, it is now possible to start up a game
application from the debugger in the same way as when it is started
up via the system software (GUI) menu.
<Core Dump Feature>
- A feature that displays the progress bar during a core dump
processing has been added. To check the progress of a core dump
processing or to estimate the time to finish, use this progress bar.
<Development Environment>
- It is now possible to boot a game application in the System Software Mode
from the host PC that uses the ProDG Target Manager for PLAYSTATION(R)3.
Note that the ProDG Target Manager for PLAYSTATION(R)3 that is required
to use this feature will be released in the future.
- It is now possible to boot a game application in the Release Mode
from the host PC that uses the ProDG Target Manager for PLAYSTATION(R)3.
When booting in this mode, you can use the same memory size as the final
test environment.
Note that the ProDG Target Manager for PLAYSTATION(R)3 that is required
to use this feature will be released in the future.
[Bug fix]
<System Software (GUI)>
- (B#70287)
On the system software that appears when the PS button is pressed
during gameplay, the still image icon for Dutch was displayed as that
of for German and vice versa with disc boot games. This problem has
been fixed.
[Known Bugs/Restrictions]
<Check menu in the Game column>
- Validation of a media or the file system itself cannot be performed
from the Check menu in the Game column.
When submitting a master disc, make sure to verify the disc that no error
is present using the Disc Image Generator for PLAYSTATION(R)3 or
the Disc Image Checker for PLAYSTATION(R)3.
- When performing the check from the Check menu in the Game column,
if the number of result files exceeds approximately 80 to 100 depending
on each check item, the file entries of the root directory in the USB
mass storage run out and the subsequent check result files may no
longer be stored.
In such case, move the check result files to another directory.
