    Thanks for the explanation...

I almost wanted to convert my retail to debug and go to the latest debug FW to play the latest 3.60 games..

Thought if I could do that I always had the option to downgrade and use multiman for my back ups..

in those irc chat logs durandal specified the exact server that gives the dex idps and it's port but you need new ssl certificates to access it...

[8/28/2011 08:04:01] Durandal Dokuchayev: you need ssl certs it recognizes
[8/28/2011 08:04:10] squarepusher64: and they changed those certificates?
    [8/28/2011 08:04:14] Durandal Dokuchayev: yep
[8/28/2011 08:04:16] Durandal Dokuchayev: rms was using it too much
[8/28/2011 08:04:28] Durandal Dokuchayev: they changed the port number too
[8/28/2011 08:05:07] squarepusher64: so how are people still able to do it then?
    [8/28/2011 08:05:09] squarepusher64: through Math's method?

    [8/28/2011 08:07:12] Durandal Dokuchayev:
    [8/28/2011 08:07:17] Durandal Dokuchayev: sure
    [8/28/2011 08:07:26] Durandal Dokuchayev: use port 63210
[8/28/2011 08:08:08] Durandal Dokuchayev: with proper certs it'll give you the new dex idps

Come on now, the logs are from between squarepusher and Durandal - someone leaked them.

You know who the real blame falls on - those IPs have been know for a while (months .. years?). I can look back till when if you would like?

We can manage to make our own IDPS :

    [8/28/2011 08:08:28] Durandal Dokuchayev: i have a cex idps
[8/28/2011 08:08:45] Durandal Dokuchayev: and both its phat and slim dex idpses
[8/28/2011 08:08:53] Durandal Dokuchayev: you can use to figure out what changed
[8/28/2011 08:09:24] squarepusher64: Crash tells me the IDPS are console-specific
    [8/28/2011 08:09:29] Durandal Dokuchayev: yep
[8/28/2011 08:09:34] Durandal Dokuchayev: not all of it
[8/28/2011 08:09:50] Durandal Dokuchayev: figure out what was changed to make it a slim and phat dex
[8/28/2011 08:09:57] Durandal Dokuchayev: then you'll know what to change for that part
[8/28/2011 08:10:08] Durandal Dokuchayev: and then you figure out what parts get resent in their original form

but to create it you still need the phat and slim dex idps of that specific console to analyze and compare them so we are back to square one.
