To quote: PS1 To PS3 – Beta 10
This application/tool will take your PS1 ISO or BIN/CUE game file(s) and create a PKG to install, This created PKG will now make that PS1 game direct boot from the XMB. This app uses the code and PS1 process from IrisManager and has modified/added some code to achieve the task of auto booting on the XMB.
You also have the ability in the GUI to change name, add custom art (ICON0 and PIC1) Sound, and animated icons (ICON1.PAM) to the PKG before final creation..
Creating a PSOne PKG with PS1toPS3 GUI
Step #1: Hit "Browse" and find the ISO image or the BIN file and select the file.
Step #2: (Optional) Add CUE file
Step #3: (Optional) You can modify the automatically created "Title ID"
Step #4 (Optional) You can modify the automatically created "Title on XMB"
Step #5 (Optional) Click to Change/Add the following files:
- Change ICONO.png
- Add PIC1.png
- Add ICON1.PAM
- Add SND0.AT3
Step #6 Build Package - Tips
- When Booting A PSone game from XMB, If you hold down R1 you can enter IrisManager's: PSX Emulator Settings Menu.
- Playing PS1 Games on Iris then entering into multiMAN can causes conflicts when done multiple times and can create a freeze. Please beware of this conflict between Iris and multiMAN., best way to avoid the freezing is to reboot your PS3 after each apps use.
- You can check out some Pre-Made PSone images made mostly by UnknownArchive and some by STLcardsWS here (imgur.com/a/iofJ6#0).
EDAT Tool v3
This app decrypts PS1 and PSP edats, here is a quote:
[Register or Login to view code]
For windows users -> uncomment line 33 and comment line 34 of EDAT.cs. For *NIX users -> uncomment line 34 and comment line 33 of EDAT.cs. Now with proper RAP/EDAT decryption The edat format MUST be ISO.BIN.EDAT
More PlayStation 3 News...
It'd be more interesting if it was a direct conversion of ps1 img/sub/ccd, or bin/cue to official psn-like EBOOT.PBP and iso.bin.edat
What's the point of decrypting the iso.bin.edat on official pkgs, anyway? does it give some usable information? the sample iso.bin certainly isn't plaintext.
what about 2 disk type games ?
and 4 disk too ?
This is what I was looking for Thank you! ps. sorry for double post, but I couldn't find an edit
Thank you, I am trying to work this.
