Uhm - no. There sure as hell is no HP-UX running on the PS3. UX most probably just refers to Unix since the HV (and GameOS) is based on some sort of Unix (if I'd have to guess I'd go with BSD because of the corporate-friendly licensing model).
i tried making sense of this, but couldnt really see how it relates to the ps3.

Demonhades, did you wrote that in spanish and translated it with google?
basicly, all unices share the same code base (bsd 4.4) so there is no wonder some filenames are equal.
You want arguments? Funny request given the fact that the only thing that backs up your thesis are the "UX" strings in the HV dump but anyway - here we go...
For starters if you know just a little about big corporations like HP (or IBM for that matter) you'd know that they would never ever give out their flagship Unices in source form for other companies to play with. And even if they did, the memory dump would be littered with HP copyright strings. Did you find any? Me neither.
Secondly, HP-UX isn't exactly the OS of choice for embedded systems requiring a small resource footprint. The HV has to work with as little as 16 MB of RAM.
And since when was HP a big supporter of the POWER / PowerPC platform? The supported platforms for HP-UX are PA-RISC and IA-64 (yes, you can look that one up on Wikipedia).
So now I'm looking forward to reading your arguments apart from the strings in the HV dump.
sure not hpux
This thing is sure not HPUX, just the kernel structures of hpux makes it extremly uncompatable with the ps3. (been working with HPUX since 2001, working with a beast is the closest tought i have). But it might also be AIX based since its completly owned by IBM, and is called AIX-UX by some.

First,HP-UX work at Bladesystems(CELL)=PS3.
Second,the kernel is a microkernel dont need full OS(kernel work whith modules prx how psp and frontend called xmb) is how ubuntu u can work whith 300MB base,dont need all
