To quote, roughly translated: This is to scan the games available on the hard drive of your PC, you see the game version, and a bunch of useful information such as:
    • The name of the game
    • The Title ID
    • The version of the game
    • The firmware version required for its launch
    • The size of the game
    • If it is compatible external hard drives FAT
    • The version of the update
    • The firmware version required to launch update included
    • Size of the update

HellDoc's PS3 Game Manager can also download the updates without going through the console. Future releases will improve, as we hope the FTP support of your games list.

How do we install the updates (pkg)?

I thought we need to overwrite the backup games on ext/int drive with what these pkg do install on PS3 under devhdd0/game...

I already said to you, put the .pkg on the root of your usb flash drive, plug on your PS3 and installs it using the Install Package Files on XMB. It will update your game.

Right I knew this but I thought it will not work... And this applies for external and internal games?

Is it something wrong with what I have said in the begining? Seems to work that way...

It will work, when you mount a game it doesn't matter if it is on external or internal hdd, the game will see the update, you don't have to overwrite the files. I did that with my games and they all work.

And that's the only way to install a .pkg.

Or, if you are afraid to do that, do the in game update and then look the folder where it installed the files!
