Are their 3 fun features safe and accurate? PSN+, Trophy unlocker/locker, and Fake Save Data owner
fake playstation plus only works visual for your friends and does not allow you to do anything illegal
trophy unlock does not update the trophy system file, so it is somehow also only visually. fake save data owner should only be used and switched on if you are using saves from other people, as it will render your own saves unusable
these are indeed only for developer testings good
update from rebug 4.21 to rebug 4.3?
I really hate to ask this here but for some reason my searches came up with features instead of a update guide.
I really don't want to mess up my ps3 so if anyone has this info to share please enlighten me.
here is what i got so far... my ps3 is an old phat never been downgraded. was on km cfw until rebug came out with the 4.21. I qa my system and updated, no problems. now i want to update again. possible to move to the newest rebug without downgrading first?
Okay so I had a flasher, but my nor clip got messed up, managed to downgrade from an old rogero cfw to ofw 3.55 to rogero v3 7a cfw to rebug 4.30... NO problems or bricking issues. I must say this is one of the best firmwares i've used. The only problem is a good guide or tutorial on how to get linux working. Anyone know a good guide to get linux installed, i didn't want to just click boot other os in the rebug tool box.... Can't find anything on it.
I'm running a PHAT 160gb CHECH-H (40gb)
I had the same situation. Just updated via XMB from 4.21 to 4.30 and it went flawlassly.

SWAP LV2 KERNEL:
Swaps between CEX and DEX LV2 Kernel. This option will only work if your Target ID is set to DEX
REWRITE TARGET ID IN FLASH:
This option requires you have a valid NOR/NAND dump named correctly on dev_usb000. Use EXPORT FLASH TO FILE function found in the UTILITIES menu to dump your NOR/NAND to dev_usb000 and then use c2d.exe to convert your dump to DEX.
Rename your original CEX dump to CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN (16mb) or CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN (239mb or 256mb)
Rename your converted DEX dump to DEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN (16mb) or DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN (239mb or 256mb)
Once you have prepared your NOR/NAND dumps place them on a USB device and connect it to dev_usb000.
Now that you have your valid dumps named properly and connected to dev_usb000 it is a simple as selecting the option and following the onscreen prompts. Takes less than 10secs once you have your dumps prepared.

TOGGLE RECOVERY MODE:

CREATE PACKAGES FOLDER ON PS3:
Create /dev_hdd0/packages folder or your PS3 to be used with Package Manager.
EXPORT HYPERVISOR LV1 MEMORY:
Save LV1 memory to dev_usb000 or dev_usb006 or dev_hdd0 if usb is not found.
EXPORT GAMEOS LV2 MEMORY:

is it possible to upgrade harddisk on rebug 4.21 or rebug 4.30 without downgrading to 3.55? as it is possible on rogero 4.30 cfw..
this might have already been asked but here goes im on the rebug 4.21/1 3.55/3 cfw, just wanting to know what are the difference in this new release as mine is working flawless and don't really want to mess if there is only a few slight changes. if some one could please let me know preferably in easy terms as not up to date with all the technical terms. many thanks in advance
the updated version has more better ps2 compatibility, newer toolbox, 4.30 version so need to patch for games needing it (like mm patching eboot 4.21+ though they contain same keys still) and more for otheros etc.. read the main page of release its all there... whereas i'm still on rebug 4.21.1 rex...
just asking to make sure, my friend want to jailbreak his ps3, so i want to know which step will he take to install the REBUG to his new ps3 unit... is it to install 999 downgrader first before installing the 3.55 REX edition then 4.30 REBUG or just immediately install 3.55 REX edition then to 4.30 REBUG?... thx for the answers ^^
