Thank you for the answer. So the cause of this is my hard drive ei? So how come it works on kmeaw but doesn't work on 4.41.2 lite?

can you upgrade it again now that its working again? or have you already tried it after going back to kmeaw. would be interesting to see. have you got the original 2.5' hdd the console came with.maybe back up your 3.5" hdd and try swapping to see what happens.

then you will know if it is the hdd or rebug lite doesn't support or something eh.

    good luck man

my hunch is that 4.41 CFW's behaves wherein it doesn't support 1TB 3.5 hard drives.. I've tried it also with Rogero 4.41... same result.

anyone who's techy out there... please share.

Well one possible explanation is that KMEAW is a 3.55 firmware. And heaven knows what Sony changed so many months later. They are very different firmwares from each other. After 3.55 Sony locked down quite a lot of things. And also switched around the sequence that the Core OS modules are loaded during boot time.

Using a SATA cable is going to introduce some element of unwanted EMI / RF interference. The correct way to solve that issue (HDD not recognised) is to remove all that external drive crap. It's completely unnecessary.

ok.. mmm... that's a thought... I'll turn off my router. it's about 2 meters away from my PS3.. I'll see if there's an improvement... it's just so happened that I had that hard drive at that time... then I made use of its capacity.

I thought of it last night... seems like 4.41 CFW's are made not really to read 1TB 3.5 inch hard drives... 4.45 OFW for instance, it has bricked majority of Ps3's having 500GB or more.

Update... went back to my old 500gb laptop hard drive... put it onto the sata dock... works like a charm... confirmed.

nothing to do with the cables and such... it's my Hitachi 3.5 HDD that it doesn't want to accept... is there anybody out there with a 4.41.2 lite setup with a 1TB in it???

    • 4.41 lite will give you seamless game backup support, which may give you to play any game without patching at all (considering that the game is 4.41 firmware) but this one may have compatibility issues on one or more homebrews and I had a hunch that 4.4x CFW had high possibility of getting banned even if you just get online for a second without doing anything.

    • REX are only available at 4.21 and 4.30 version, thus will give you same compatibility as 4.41 but you need to patch some of the EBOOT on new games (or game patches) but that can be done so easy, specially if you use Iris Manager or Multiman that will literally automatically patch the eboot to work on 4.21-4.30 CFW without any too much effort (both PSN games and game updates and disc based games)

    • REX 3.55 is basically just a old basic CFW without any new features, definitely will have some compatibility issues on most of the new games without a proper hacking on the eboot to work on 3.55 (resigning eboots wont work with 3.55)

My personal recommendation is REX 4.21.2 since thats what I used and most of the hombrews works just fine, and so the games too.

SGK Enable / Disable Spoof for PS3 Firmware 4.46 on PSN with CFW

Following up on Sony's PS3 Firmware 4.46 Update and the recent PS3 Firmware 4.46 Spoofer, Team SGK have also made their own SGK Enable / Disable Spoof for PS3 Firmware 4.46 on PSN with CFW versions followed by version 2 available below.

    Download: SGK-Cdex-4.41.05_-SPOOF-4.46.pkg / Spoof_4.46_pour_CFW_4.30_et...40_et_4.31_.pkg / Spoof 4.46 pour CFW 4.30 et 4.21 rebug + cfw 4.41 4.40 et 4.31.pkg / Spoof_4.46_pour_cfw_4.30_et_4.21_rebug___cfw_4.41_ 4.40_et_4.31_.pkg (Mirror) / Spoof 4.46 v2 CFW 4.41.05 SGK Rebug 4.21 and 4.30 + 4.41 CFW 4.40 and 4.31 and BO2 Compatible / Spoof 4.46 v2 CFW 4.41.05 SGK Rebug 4.21 and 4.30 + 4.41 CFW 4.40 and 4.31 and BO2 Compatible (Mirror)

To quote, roughly translated: Hi all, have a little spoof 4.46 with access PSN for my CFW and 4.41.05 for 4.41 Rebug CFW and Rogero and also Rebug CFW 4.30 4.21 + 4.40 and the 4.31 CFW! Good game at all.
    • Spoof 4.46 cfw 4.41.05 SGK
    • NEW PKG V2 - Spoof 4.46 cfw 4.21 and 4.30 Rebug cfw 4.41 + 4.40 and 4.31

Be aware that PS3 Firmware 4.46 uses a new CERT and this spoofer still has the old cert. As it is not risky enough going online with CFW, loading invalid data as a spoof is an even higher ban risk!

i have 4.30.1 rebug CEX edition, and the tool that was allowing me to access psn is not obviously atm, any chance to use this spoof in addition to that tool, to make me playing again??
