[IMGW]http://ps3media.ign.com/ps3/image/article/798/798820/warhawk-20070622115430827-000.jpg[/IMGW] June 22, 2007 - After several months of debate as to whether or not Sony Computer Entertainment's re-imagining of Warhawk would be available on retail shelves (in addition to its appearance on the PlayStation Network), the "powers that be" have sent us the game's final box art to prove that, yes it is indeed coming to Blu-ray.
Scheduled for a simultaneous debut on both BD-ROM and the PSN in late August/early September, Incog Inc.'s Warhawk takes the idea of 32-player "online only" action and tosses it into a PS3 with tanks, hoverships, and jeeps that blast each other silly across four different gaming modes. Downloadable content and customizable soldier options are also highlighted.
Though users can download Warhawk directly through the PlayStation store, people who purchase the physical disc will get a voice communication headset bundled in as well as Blu-ray bonus content like behind-the-scenes documentaries and similar goodies.
Sony has yet to officially determine prices for the retail and downloadable SKUs.
