This is a great game, I played it for the first time about a year ago on my computer because I couldnt get a copy for the playstation. Anyway the computer version is really bad with lots of errors and to play it from start to finish you need to apply a couple of patches and do tricks by googling but the game is worth it.
Even with all the bugs and for a game that is 10 years old the game is intense, its memorable, long and everything youd expect from one of the best final fantasy games. My personal favorites have to be final fantasy X, VII and Chrono trigger from Square. If you havent played it please do yourself a favor and buy it, its really cheap compared to the hours of joy, entertainment and epicness you will get from it.

The PC version of FF7 is the best. Sure its a difficult install with lots of patching, but once you are done, it runs at 1280x1024 with 16x antialiasing, a remixed soundtrack, character sprite and portrait replacement and more. Its like the remake the S-E refuses to give us!
Speaking of which, would it have killed them to apply some upscaling or filtering to the rerelease. I have a 10 year old PC that makes PS1 games look better than the PS3 does.

I spent a couple hours and maybe a day or two googling the answers of how to use special programs to bypass the meteor scene in the observatory and had trouble using it, in the end I could finish the game but it was a challenge to finish the game and to play it. Like I said the pc version is not for everyone. Im glad sony is trying to push games like this into the store, this is my idea of a REAL online gaming store.
