March 12, 2007 - News of anything next generation regarding Square Enix seems to be big, so we're going to share the details on an upcoming contest that probably has nothing to do with most of you. Over in Japan, Square Enix has announced a new promotional campaign where purchasers of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +, Front Mission the 1st and Seiken Densetsu Heroes of Mana (the latter two are DS titles) can win a 60 gig PS3. The company has 30 of the next gen systems set to be given away via a random drawing.
This competition is limited exclusively to members of the Square Enix Members program, a rewards program, similar to Nintendo's Club Nintendo, where consumers use codes to register their products at the Square Enix website, and earn points good toward prizes. Of course, you'll have to have a Japanese address to become a member of this elite club.
The contest will be held from 3/8 to 4/30. Multiple entries will be counted, so by purchasing all three titles, you'll have three times as good a chance of getting yourself a free PS3 system (and if you're not one of the lucky 30, we'd suggest heading out to Tsutaya, which is, for a limited time, selling the 60 Gig PS3 systems for 3,000 yen less than the normal price).
