Need a "cross-game" chat really that badly? Use Skype / MSN / Yahoo / Google / Etc. - it's free and works outside PS3 too

Haven't turned my PS3 on in ages but hoping they still improve "standard" psn and don't just add any improvement to the list of plus benefits.

That is what everyone thought, but when the 3D games came out a week or so back and worked without an update it seems the functionality for PS3 games was added in a previous update.

That said, it is confirmed that later this year Sony will release a 3D Firmware update for Blu-ray movies though.

So this is what $ony will be doing in future upgrades:

1 $ony adds things THEY want free of charge to users
2 $ony adds things WE want at a cost to users

    Money, money, money ...

Let me ask you this. How else would Sony be making cash? They offer PSN for free... Isn't that enough? Would you rather them force us to buy PSN plus?
