This weekend Sony has officially announced PSN maintenance is scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2013 with details below.

For North America, to quote: Hi everyone, We’re settling in to spring on PSN and between the great deals coming to you during Spring Fever 2013, the new PlayStation Plus offerings and epic exclusives, like The Last of Us, just around the corner, there’s a lot happening.

In order to continue bringing you the best online games experience on PSN, we will perform routine maintenance beginning the morning of Monday, April 15th. This maintenance will start at approximately 8:00AM PT (9:00AM MT / 10:00AM CT / 11:00 AM ET) and last until around 8:00PM PT (9:00PM MT / 10:00PM CT / 11:00PM ET).

If you attempt to sign-in during this period, you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access PSN. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during the maintenance period.

However, you WILL be able to access online play and apps provided that you have signed in to the Network at some point between now and the time of the maintenance. So please be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during Monday’s maintenance window.

For Europe, to quote (via : There will be scheduled PSN Maintenance taking place on Monday 15th April from 14.00PM until Tuesday 16th April at 05.00AM BST.

During the maintenance period the following services will be unavailable:
  • Store
  • Account Management
  • Account Registration
  • Transactions via the console
  • Web site

Users will be able to sign into their SEN account provided they have signed into their account within the last 5 days. Users who are signed into the account prior to the start of the maintenance should be able to stay connected and will not lose their online session.

Please note however that the above services will still be unavailable.
