    not many have a static ip, simply rebooting your router can get around that method. dongles would have been easily trackable by their device ID's as they're logged on PSN too.

    Agreed, this was mentioned from the start, personally i have 2 ps3`s, one will be used for homebrew, other online, so im not to bothered, but im sure we are going down the 360 route here, and i have 5 of them lol.

    No, updates always required logging into the PSN.

    Maybe they'll be like ICE and "accidentally" ban 84,000 non offending consoles. Do you really trust the company that can't even code a random number algo. correctly?

    Uhh, I get updates all the time without logging in, you can even download them without using the PS3 without logging in.

    I don't get emails from Sony.. but if I did I'm sure I would have gotten one. I've done everything wrong. Played backups online, loaded gaia manager while I was online, downloaded some cracked PSN titles and got trophies with them, grabbed add-ons from PSN, changed my certs and danced with Charles.

    If anyone should be banned it's me. Was fun while it lasted

    Updates have never required logging into PSN.
