April 26, 2007 - Sony has revealed Snakeball, a brand new game making use of the recently-announced PlayStation Eye camera, set for release via the PlayStation Store this July.
Snakeball sees you donning your disco shoes to glide across the dance floor on a 'hoversnake' while collecting coloured balls to score points. Other players can rapidly reduce your point tally by flicking you with their tails or blasting you with weapons. For that personal touch, the PlayStation Eye USB camera can be used to snap a picture of your face and map it onto your rider.
Three modes feature in the game - a one-player mode where the goal is to feed your snake, making it as long as possible, a Challenge mode with different arenas to tackle and an online mode, where up to eight players from across the globe can battle it out.
Expect more on Snakeball as its July release date approaches.
