[IMGW]http://media.1up.com/media?id=3215168[/IMGW] Remember that Penny Arcade video game? Yeah, us too, but there hasbeen hardly a word spoken since the game's announcement way backduring the Penny Arcade Expo 2006. Well, there's still nothing big toreport, but Gamasutra has at least a smidgeon of new info.
It looks like developer Hothead Games will be using theTorque Game Engine for Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-SlickPrecipice of Darkness. This is, of course, big news for the devs:
Said Hothead COO Joel DeYoung, "GarageGames' TorqueGame Engine has streamlined our development processes and enabled ourteams in the pursuit of our core goal: creating the innovativegameplay that gamers want. Torque gives our programmers a +6 dagger ofcoding," he said before adding, "They tell me its prettysweet."The Torque Game Engine is a modified version of the Tribes 2engine that is licensed out by GarageGames. Hothead Games has also promised thatany modifications they make to the engine will be put back into thecommunity and made available to future licensees.
So, that's cool... now, how about some pictures of the game? Anything?
