[IMGW]http://media.1up.com/media?id=3208456[/IMGW] Mortal Kombat 2 was supposed to land on the PlayStation Network in March, but for whatever reason, Sony Online Entertainment wasn't able to deliver the goods. The company's issues a new press release promising an April 12 drop date for the violent fighting sequel, however, and participating will set you back only $4.99.

The actual gameplay hasn't been touched in the conversion process for release on the PlayStation Network, but the PlayStation 3 version does add online multiplayer and dedicated leaderboards to keep track of everyone's virtual progress.
