Hulu Rep Confirms PlayStation Plus Not Required for Hulu Plus
With the recent news that the premium Hulu Plus service is coming to Sony's PS3 entertainment system this year, many were left wondering if a PlayStation Plus subscription would be required to use Hulu Plus on the PlayStation 3.
Today Examiner.com (linked above) has received confirmation from Hulu Support Rep Jordan that PlayStation Plus is not required for Hulu Plus on the PS3, however, this is once the preview period ends.
To quote: "Specifically to your question, the Playstation Plus service is only a requirement during the preview period.
Once the preview period ends you should be able to download the Hulu Plus app but that will still require the Hulu Plus subscription.
Right now we are limiting the number of users but Hulu Plus will be launching to the public very soon so stay tuned!"
Until then, those who don't wish to wait it out may opt to give the old Hulu PS3 Workaround Method a try to see if it still works or not.

Playon still works great for unofficial hulu viewing; on my 360 at least. It should support PS3 as well, but I'm not going to plug it in to find out.
WOW! Another useless service that needs the update 3.40 which destroyed so many PS3 included mine and for nothing. I hope SONY go bankrupt for adding this crap to PS3 (and for many other stupid decisions they took with the PS3)
Forum for the official PS site. I´ve updated my PS3 with every version too, but the last one destroyed it.
