[IMGW]http://media.1up.com/media?id=3348116[/IMGW]E3 2007 has perhaps been a bit skimpier on new game announcements than we might have hoped, but one sure to have the PC crowd happy plopped into existence today: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. As reported by Gamasutra, the game is planned as a prequel to this year's S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Along with the game's announcement, developer GSC Game World unveiled a number of new areas and the ability for players to shoot their way to victory with numerous in-game factions. As would be expected from a prequel, the game will showcase the events that lead to the creation of Shadow of Chernobyl's nuclear wasteland setting. It will also sport a new weapons and armor upgrading system and improved DX10 graphical capabilities.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky has an expected release date of Q1 2008 on the PC. Check out 1UP's review of the first game to discover why we can't wait for our next helping of unnatural disaster.
