[IMGW]http://media.1up.com/media?id=3197268[/IMGW] Given that Devil May Cry 4 was already playable for the public last fall, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Capcom's readying the high-profile action sequel for a fall 2007 release abroad, too. Mark Beaumont, Capcom's executive VP and newly appointed head of consumer software in Europe, spoke with GamesIndustry.biz, where he dropped the unsurprising -- but appreciated -- dating tidbit.
"...we've got a full portfolio of products, everything from PSP to PS2 to DS, culminating in Devil May Cry which is coming out later in the year, probably in the autumn, which will be our next real triple-A push. And then as we roll into 2008 we'll have new versions of existing franchises and new titles that are original IP. We're really starting to ramps things up and become that much more significant in the marketplace."
Between October and December sounds pretty likely. Maybe Capcom will take the same initiative with Devil May Cry 4 as they did with Lost Planet and allow PS3 gamers a playable taste via PlayStation Network this summer.
