Even though I have great memorys of duken nukem I really think they should had release their cheesy games like the first ones and let the gamer just enjoy himself. From the video it seems like they tried to hard to be liked and it doesnt even look that good, it looks dated to me, nothing compared to killzone 2 or red faction or those new shooters.
Besides that, this gameplay was very good in the 90s when duken nukem was a kickass now a days its like watching an episode of saved by the bell, its good but its not a new experience. The game I cant say if it would have sucked or not but judging by the video I guess it would had been a mediocree experience and would have been burned to the ground by fans and game reviewers. I mean all this time in production and this is the best they can come up with?
I saw a video of duken nukem forever gameplay in 2001 and it really looked very good and stayed original to the series, I saw it the other day on youtube and said to myself damn I would have loved played that game, because it was duken nukem, but this is just mediocree in my opinion. So long duken nukem I hope no one brings you back from dead because you really have a place in my heart and I want you there the way I remember you.
If someone does bring it back I only hope its valve or a remake from a very hardcore fan base.

The graphics look like Doom 3 graphics, they tried too hard and failed.

12 years working for nothing. So many Peoples around the World waiting for this Game. What blame for the programmer, many good egoshooter has finalized and bringing money for publisher in this period.

Real or Fake
I agree with D3M0N2009, the graphics look very similar to Doom3, a bit dated now... If you look at the titles, right at the end of the video, you can see the author's name and webpage address, his last position in his bio/about section shows him working with 3DRealms in Garland TX as a 3D animator, I wouldn't put my name up if I am leaking a video...
Also below all the software he used, he lists "Blade", and the only one I can find, is a C# toolkit / rendering engine for 360 and PC, making me think that video must be a prototype or a demo-reel for the work he personally has done while working on the title...
My two cents

The games were designed to be cheesy from the very start and have only once been the powerhouse of graphics since it's inception. Duke Nukem is one of those games that prides it's self on being over the top and fun. Similar to the Grand Theft Auto series. However unlike that series, Duke Nukem has never forgotten that people want to play a game and not real life. So they create the cheesiest story on Earth and then have you go around the Earth shooting aliens. It's the essential aliens attack Earth, humans fight aliens story. Which we today have plenty of (and still haven't stopped calling unique).
You are in no way a fan if you think that these graphics are bad because a fan doesn't care how the graphics are as long as it's fun and that game looks like it was going to be fun. With the Duke's corny dialogue. The over the top violence and the quirky and cheesy humor the Duke has had long before Duke Nukem 3D.
Duke Nukem 3D was never a beautiful game. But god, was it fun and did we have a blast and some of still do playing it. Another thing, you can't criticize a game like this (or really say all that I just said for that fact) because it hasn't been finished! The game lacks the polish that all the other games have and it's in an SD format.

Disappointing is all i can say... This has been one of the much anticipated games during the early 2000's... i remember reading recurrent articles about the wish from fans and especially the magazines' editors to have Duke Nukem come back to life, all in glorious blazing graphics and improved gameplay. But then it died down everytime it was mentioned and nothing came out of it, other than speculations... never got anything from the developers themselves. no trailers, no serious comments, nothing...
Anyways, i agree this took way too long to be released, but then this could as well be taken as a more than possible pre-bankruptcy sign of the developing company, which turned to be true eventually. Duke Nukem... rest forever. I really hope some cheap developer doesn't pick it up, slap the brand name to some shooter game and releases it just to feed off the fan base.
Unless Sony gets the license and revives it into a living legend as a first-party exclusive. Now that would definitely be something to wait for!

Looks like Unreal Engine 1!!!
Well, the trailer looks real. They started development long time ago. The programmers, designers, etc. are all still old school (I guess). Which explains the wack graphics. 1997-2009... Wow.
