March 30, 2007 - It's Fridaaaaaaaay and that means brand new Virtual Console games for you to download, play once and then probably never look at again. Ha, of course not. We know you're still playing Ristar, every opportunity you get. Anyway, yes... this week it's Punch Out!! leading the pack.
For those too young or stupid to remember, it's a comical boxing game demanding you duck and weave your way through six matches in a bid to become a champion. Admittedly, we'd have preferred the far superior Super Punch Out!! on SNES, but we guess it'll do for now.
Next on the list of releases is Konami's SNES classic Legend of the Mystical Ninja, a light-hearted and frankly doolally platform adventure for one or two players. It's a mix of top-down exploration and perfectly formed platforming segments - plus the soundtrack is truly something to behold, as was the Konami way back then.
Finally this week, there's Dragon's Curse (aka Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap). You play as a warrior forced to hunt down a magical Salamander Cross, following his transformation into a lizard by an angry dragon.
These latest titles join the 67 Virtual Console games already available from the Wii Shop.
