April 9, 2009 // 1:30 pm - Universal Unbrick Disc is now on v2 and will work with Firmware 4.0. Additionally, you will not need a modchip, cIOS-CORE or Rescue Menu hacks to be installed.

It will also work with the Original Rescue Menu and you only need a modded Original GC Controller and the cIOS249 installed. Thats all.

I changed the game partition to run with IOS249 and its set to autoboot... so as long you have the cIOS249 installed and its a cIOS with cDIP module it will work.

Download: Universal Unbrick Disc v2

Then I updated the ticket and tmd to be named as UUD but I had to change the game partition, the iSO itself and the crypted name of the game too to be fully displayed as "Universal Unbrick Disc"

And be sure you use an ORIGINAL GC Controller because we can't manage to boot into rescue menu with a 3rd-Party GC Controller.

How to Use:

• Extract and burn the image
• Turn on Wii and insert disc to auto boot WAD Manager

Universal Unbrick Disc v2 is Now Available for Nintendo Wii

1- Do u have a modchip installed ?
2- If yes, is it set to autoboot...?
3- if not you can find a certain autoboot recovery disk somewhere (you can google it)...
4- finally if the recovery disks wont work you can just get a Game that updates to a higher firmware like 4.1 or 4.2... (ppl say the new super mario bros. has a 4.1 or 4.2 update)... hope its helps

Thx for the reply , btw found a guy in a repair shop who can fix it by replacing a certain board or something else (can't remember), but its gonna cost about 90$ too bad i can't send it to nintendo cause i can't seem to find a nintendo repair shop in my country.

I'm on 4.0U with softmod, no modchip installed and no starfall and preloader doesnt load when i press the reset button so my only hope is to boot a recovery disk from save mii frii , which needs a modchip, does any one have a solution?? besides sending to nintendo or chipping my wii? .. and thx in advance ^^

I'm sorry to say, but once you stubbed your system ios, you're screwed. Even getting a modchip will not help you, you won't be able to boot recovery discs without a system ios. you won't even get into recovery mode. Preloader also doesn't work if you stubbed your system ios.

Yeah I can turn the wii on with the wiimote.

You're right to ask. And I must admit I'm not sure about that. I would think it won't make a difference, the different region Wiis are pretty much the same hardware-wise, but you can never be too sure about this. I'll see if I can find any info on this.

No problem, but if I were you I would at least try replacing the bluetooth module in case it's a hardware problem. You can get one below 10$. For example: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16026

So either your bootmii was removed, which as far as I know could only happen if you updated to 4.2 by official update, which would install a new boot2. Or you installed as IOS and choose "Prepare SD card" anyway. Or your bootmii is still working, but something goes wrong beforehand. In that case you have a hardware problem. That you have no video output at all suggests this, too. If it's a hardware problem, you can try opening it and replacing the bluetooth module, maybe others.

Damn, I really thought you would be able to boot into bootmii, the rest would've been easy.

I'll keep following this thread though, maybe il find a solution in some way.
